Way out in the desert where the dust turns into dreams
You roast alive all day and at night you freeze
When the sun goes down Coyote barks and whines
‘Til the horizon tilts it’s head and opens wide
Look away look away
If you don’t see nothing you won’t have nothing to say
Way up high on a mountain side
Walks a man with a demon’s eyes
Surrounded by a powerful light
We wandered blind for miles and miles and miles
Over ancient bones and riverbeds run dry
The horses went wild and the world began to fray
The Indian said we were already dead anyway
Look away look away
If you don’t see nothing you won’t have nothing to say
Way up high on a mountain side
Walks a man with a demon’s eyes
Surrounded by a powerful light
Where the central mountain rises through the sky
We beheld a ghost adorned in beads and hides
He danced a chant while we smoked the sacred pipe
Said he saw us in a vision surrounded by a powerful light
Look away look away
If you don’t see nothing you won’t have nothing to say
Way up high on a mountain side
Walks a man with a demon’s eyes
Surrounded by a powerful light
