I’d Love Another Saturday Night

Almost done
I’ve been waiting since Monday or Tuesday at least
For some fun
I think I see a little light at the end of the week

Whatever happened to the endless summer
and all the time in the world

Fridays finished we can starting unwinding
Saturday morning we’re free
Sunday will be sorry to see you go
She’ll have to wait a whole week
It’s been alright
But I’d love another Saturday night

We were young
We speculated on the meaning of life and love
Rivers turn
Rain in the mountains into waves on the rolling sea

Whatever happened to the endless summer
and all the time in the world

Fridays finished we can starting unwinding
Saturday morning we’re free
Sunday will be sorry to see you go
She’ll have to wait a whole week
It’s been alright
But I’d love another Saturday night

Faraway in a dream out there
Beyond the weekend scene
Somewhere waiting
There’s a sign meant just for me
Could it be

Late at night
It gets so quiet you can almost hear the world turn
Deep and low
Something’s ticking like a big watch winding down

Whatever happened to the endless summer
and all the time in the world
It’s been alright
But I’d love another Saturday

Fridays finished we can starting unwinding
Saturday morning we’re free
Sunday will be sorry to see you go
She’ll have to wait a whole week
It’s been alright
But I’d love another Saturday night
